REPEAL SANCTUARY COUNTY LAW
On March 20, 2018, Ken Jenkins celebrated passage of the law he sponsored as a county legislator to make Westchester a dangerous Sanctuary County. Since then, untold numbers of violent criminal illegal aliens have enjoyed special protections in Westchester, set free to commit more crimes in our communities. Christine will send legislation to the Board of Legislators to repeal Ken Jenkins’ Sanctuary County law and will issue an Executive Order requiring cooperation between the county’s Department of Public Safety and Department of Correction with the federal government to detain, remove and deport dangerous criminal illegal aliens.
STOP UNSUSTAINABLE HIKES TO TAXES & SPENDING
Christine will streamline county government to hold the line on taxes and spending. Under Ken Jenkins, the cost of living has skyrocketed. Ken Jenkins’ crushing sales tax increases have made everything that Westchester residents buy more expensive. His unchecked spending has priced families, seniors and young people out of Westchester. Sales tax and inflation are through the roof – and county spending has increased 36% in the last 7 years
alone. Meanwhile, Ken gave himself a 44% pay raise after raising your taxes! Christine will stop the Jenkins’ irresponsible tax hikes and bring back fiscal responsibility. We can’t afford four more years of Ken Jenkins.
ADVOCATE TO END CONGESTION PRICING
Christine will use her bully pulpit as county executive to oppose Governor Hochul’s new MTA commuter tax/congestion pricing while working with the federal government to end this destructive policy.
ESTABLISH THE OFFICE OF PARENTAL RIGHTS
Christine will establish the Office of Parental Rights to protect your right to be the final authority in your child’s upbringing and will stand up to the radical ideologies that threaten your children — whether it’s drastic medical interventions or protecting girls & sports from being hijacked by biological males. Children deserve to grow up in a world that respects their dignity and their parents’ rights.
